Książkę wygrzebałem w koszu z książkami w Biedronce. Prawdę mówiąc grzebałem bez większej nadziei na coś ciekawego a tutaj niespodzianka :)

Podzielona na 16 rozdziałów opowieść o kulisach lotu Polaka (Mirosław Hermaszewski) w kosmos.

Trochę o samym programie INTERKOSMOS , trochę o historii lotów w kosmos a następnie (co jeszcze ciekawsze) o procesie wyboru , selekcji i coraz mocniejszym zawężaniu grupy chętnych. Następnie szkolenie i ostateczny wybór z dwóch wybrańców którzy dotrwali do samego końca. Czy ktoś jeszcze pamięta nazwisko tego drugiego ( Zenon Jankowski ) ?

Potem sam lot i pobyt na stacji kosmicznej i trochę dalszych losów bohaterów.

A to wszystko opisane z detalami na tle mocno skrzypiącej i siermiężnej komunistycznej rzeczywistości tamtych lat (zarówno w Polsce jak i w ZSRR).

Dużo kolorowych i czarnobiałych zdjęć. 350 stron czyta się lekko i przyjemnie.

I dug the book in the basket with books in supermarket "Biedronka". To be honest, I was rummaging without much hope for something interesting and here's a surprise :)

A story about the Polish ( Mirosław Hermaszewski ) flight into space, divided into 16 chapters.

A bit about the INTERKOSMOS program itself, a bit about the history of space flights and then (what is equally interesting) about the selection process and the ever-increasing narrowing of the group of people willing. Then training and the final selection of two chosen ones who survived to the very end. Does anyone else remember the name of the latter ( Zenon Jankowski ) ?

Then the flight itself and the stay at the space station and a little further fate of the characters.

And all this is described with details on the background of crude communist reality of those years (both in Poland and in the USSR).

Lots of color and black and white photos. 350 pages read lightly and pleasantly.

However, I have no idea if the book is also published in English (or other language).
