Zakupy / Shopping

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything or nearly everything has run out, or the very last items/meters are currently disappearing.

So, it’s time to go shopping.

The most important purchase - thread.

Because I was already flying literally in the last meters.

Ariadna Talia 80E, in the one and only correct color 0758. Two 5,000-meter spools. That should last for a while.

Komplet 30 daszków i zapięć też mi sprzedali.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since I was fed up with ripping visors and fasteners off caps scavenged from thrift stores and the selection there had gotten worse, too I bought some visors directly from the manufacturer, along with the fasteners.

You can find the manufacturer online: "ETS Daszki" in Zduńska Wola.

They offer a wide variety of shapes, plus fasteners in many different colors.

Best of all, I didn’t have to buy hundreds of them; they were happy to sell me a batch of 30 visors and fasteners.

Given my current sewing volume, this should last me two or three years (maybe even longer) which probably doesn’t make me the ideal customer for them :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They work well. You can sew through them without any trouble; you can even straighten them out temporarily to make sewing easier, and then bend them back into a slight curve without the risk of them snapping in half.

That’s something that happened to me once or twice when using brims salvaged from second-hand store cap :(

And the fasteners finally match the color of sewing - they’re green.

Ask the manufacturer about the price, but it turned out to be quite cheap.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Green binding tape.

Since I use quite a lot of this for various projects, I bought an entire roll of green, cotton, Dutch military-surplus binding tape from  Armyworld.pl.

Roll of 450 meters cost me 39 PLN plus shipping. 15 mm wide, cotton, green and it works out to be VERY cheap per meter - what more could you ask for  :) :) :)

Trochę rzepów / velcro różnych szerokości oraz stoppery. Też pewnie starczą na dość długo.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some Velcro strips of various widths, plus cord locks. These should also last for quite a while.
