Balkonowe Ogrodnictwo 2026 / Balcony Gardening 2026

No i fajnie się prezentowała ona i te jej sadzonki :)  No i miałem za swoje :(

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All in all, there wasn't really much to brag about.

Just the usual stuff—herbs and flowers.

But out of blogger duty I have to write as a warning - Smell and Touch!

When purchasing seedlings, of course.

Somewhere around the beginning of June - flower pots from the basement, a net (shade cover) placed on the balcony rungs, the purchased soil is waiting.

I headed to the local market for the seedlings—great selection, reasonable prices, and close by.

I admit it: I bought herb seedlings from a pretty young woman because she had such a nice smile and really knew how to strike up a conversation.

She and her seedlings looked great, too :)    And then I paid the price   :(

A prym wiodła mięta nazwana przeze mnie "Bezobjawową".

No nic to. Wymieniłem. Stare które już trochę urosły zostały ścięte i trafiły do zupy tudzież kilku innych dań (gdzie nie zaznaczyły swojej obecności zbyt mocno) a w doniczkach rosły nowe.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After about three and a half weeks, I cut back most of the herbs, replaced the soil, and planted new seedlings because the ones I’d bought from that lovely lady at the market... simply had no scent.

It was probably the first time I’d ever ended up with such lackluster, unaromatic herbs.

The worst offender was the mint I dubbed "Asymptomatic." And mind you, when I bought it, I made sure to check that it wasn't some fancy variety - watermelon, cucumber, shrimp, hard-candy, or what have you.

According to the seller, it was supposed to be Strong.

Right. The only thing strong was my resolve never to buy seedlings again based solely on a pretty face.

Oh well. I swapped them out. The old ones—which had actually grown a bit - got cut down and ended up in soup and a few other dishes (where they didn't exactly make their presence felt), while new ones took their place in the pots.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the other hand, the surfinia were thriving, and at one point, they absolutely EXPLODED :) :) :)

A najlepiej w obezwładniającym upale czuł się kaktus.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the cactus felt best in the overwhelming heat.

No bo komu by się chciało wstać i wyrzucać pestki z mandarynki do kosza skoro można je wcisnąć do doniczki obok.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And finally, someone (not me) ended up growing a mandarin tree in a pot with a ficus.

After all, who would bother getting up to throw mandarin seeds in the trash when you can just shove them into the nearby plant pot ?

The result is visible in the photo.

Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with it and how to separate them (?).

Safely for both plants.
