Szyję bieliznę męską / I sew men's underwear.

Zgodnie z tytułem posta - szycie męskiej bielizny , bokserek.

Do tematu zabierałem się już od baaardzo dawna ale wiecznie był odkładany , przekładany.

W końcu wpadł mi w ręce kawałek fajnej jasnoszarej dzianiny , bardzo elastycznej w obie strony.

As the title suggests – sewing men's underwear - boxers.

I'd been wanting to tackle this project for a veeery long time, but it kept getting postponed (from various reasons).

I finally got my hands on a nice piece of light gray fabric, very stretchy in both directions.

The pattern comes from Papavero.pl here: Underwear

Prawdę mówiąc nie pobierałem ze strony , jedynie wydrukowałem sobie zdjęcie wykroju , przerysowałem / powiększyłem na szary papier pakowy zakładając że każdy segment ze zdjęcia to kartka w formacie A4.

Wykrój ze zdjęcia ma być w rozmiarze L i tak jest bo po uszyciu pasuje idealnie (noszę L-kę).

Później krojenie i szycie. Szycie zaskakująco szybkie i proste. W trakcie wspomagałem się szpilkami parę razy czego nie lubię robić (bo nie mam cierpliwości) ale już trzeba było.

Nie posiadam overlocka więc zastosowałem wszędzie gęsty szeroki zygzak.

Zastosowana igła ORGAN Super Strech 65/9 do tkanin elastycznych.

Zwykle stosowane nici Ariadna wydawały mi się za grube do tego zadania więc użyłem jakiś cienkich no-name. Działają :)

Jedyna zmiana w porównaniu z bokserkami z Papavero to że zrobiłem je wyższe.  To nie znaczy że lubię gacie które można podciągnąć pod pachy ale te sklepowe są czasami zdecydowanie za niskie :)

Część tkaniny w pasie która ma być zawijana i tworzyć tunel na gumę w pasie tutaj nie została zawinięta a na górnej krawędzi naszyłem gumkę 3 cm szerokości. Odcinek gumy o długości 76/77 cm pasował idealnie.

Powstały na chwilę obecną dwie sztuki. Są intensywnie użytkowane i .... zasadniczo wszystko jest OK :)

Szycie zygzakiem nie jest aż tak elastyczne jak w sklepowych robionych zapewne overlockiem ale też nie utrudnia noszenia.

Jest dobrze. A w szafie czeka już elastyczna , cienka dzianina wełniana. Kupiłem ja kiedyś z rozpędu i nie wiedziałem do czego zużyć , będzie idealna do produkcji bielizny na zimniejszą porę.

To be honest, I didn't download it from the website; I just printed out a photo of the pattern and copied/enlarged it onto gray kraft paper, assuming each segment in the photo was an A4 sheet of paper.

The pattern in the photo is supposed to be size L, and it is, because after sewing, it fits perfectly (I wear a size L).

Then cutting and sewing. Sewing was surprisingly quick and easy. I used pins a few times during the process, which I don't like to do (because I have no patience), but I had to.

I don't have an overlocker, so I used a dense, wide zigzag pattern everywhere.

The ORGAN Super Stretch 65/9 needle for elastic fabrics was used.

The Ariadna threads I usually use seemed too thick for this task, so I used some thin no-name ones. They worked as they should :)

The only change compared to the Papavero boxer shorts is that I made them taller. 

This doesn't mean that I like underwear that can be pulled up to the armpits, but the ones from the store are sometimes definitely too low :)

The section of fabric at the waist that is supposed to be folded over and create a tunnel for the waistband wasn't folded over, and I sewed a 3 cm wide elastic band on the top edge. The 76/77 cm long section fit perfectly.

So far, I've made two pairs. They're getting a lot of use and... basically, everything is fine :)

The zigzag stitch isn't as flexible as store-bought ones, which are probably made with an overlocker, but it's still comfortable to wear.

It's good. And there's already a stretchy, thin wool fabric waiting in the closet. I bought it on a whim and didn't know what to use it for. It will be perfect for making underwear for the colder season.

Damski letni kapelusz w kwiatki / Women's summer hat with a floral pattern

Z cyklu "Szybkie Szycie" kolejny letni damski kapelusz.

Założenia były takie że kapelusz ma być głęboki / wysoki tak aby zmieściły się pod niego długie włosy upięte w kok czy związane jakoś z tyłu.

Ma być lekki i przewiewny i ma mieć szersze rondo do ochrony oczu przed słońcem.

No problemo , da się zrobić.

Jako źródło tkaniny posłużyła mi męska koszula z ciucholandu (ale nowa , ometkowana nadal) uszyta z bardzo cienkiej , lekkiej 100% bawełny w piękny drobny kwiatowy wzór.

Użyte nici to Ariadna 80E w jasno różowym kolorze nr. 7272. 

Gumo-sznurek z stoperem dbają o dopasowanie do głowy.

Po bokach wentylacja z zielonej siatki. Tylko taki kolor miałem ale pasuje.

Z koszuli w rozmiarze 42 wyszedł kapelusz i zostało jeszcze tkaniny na czapkę z daszkiem. 

Która być może powstanie.

Another women's summer hat from the "Quick Sewing" series.

The idea was for the hat to be deep/tall enough to accommodate long hair tied back or tied in a bun.

It should be light and airy, and have a wider brim to protect the eyes from the sun.

No problem, it can be done.

I used a men's shirt from a second-hand store (but new, still labeled) as the fabric source, made of very thin, lightweight 100% cotton with a beautiful, small floral pattern.

The thread used is Ariadna 80E in light pink, no. 7272.

An elastic drawstring with a stopper ensures a snug fit.

Green mesh ventilation on the sides. This was the only color I had, but it fits.

A hat came out of a size 42 shirt and there was still fabric left for a simple visor cap etc.

Which perhaps will arise.

Spódnica letnia z guzikami / Summer skirt with buttons.

Zlecenie typu "wysoki priorytet" od rodziny na letnią cienką spódnicę.

Materiał to lekka ale nie elastyczna 100% bawełna z bardzo ładnym nadrukiem w liście.

Zakupiony w ciucholandzie za kilka zł.

Wymiary 106 cm na 142 cm.

Użyte nici to różowe Ariadna Talia 80E kolor 0717 i jakiś brąz przy guzikach.

"High priority" order from family for a thin summer skirt.

The material is lightweight but not stretchy 100% cotton with a beautiful leaf print.

Bought at a thrift store for a few pln.

Dimensions: 106 cm x 142 cm.

The threads used are pink Ariadna Talia 80E color 0717 and some brown for the buttons.

Ponieważ ilość tkaniny mocno ograniczona (jak dla mnie) to nie kombinowałem i założyłem najprostszą możliwą konstrukcję.

Najpierw podział tkaniny na część główną dużą i wąski pas na uszycie pasa i szlufek.

Since the amount of fabric was very limited (like for me), I didn't try anything fancy and used the simplest possible construction.

First, I divided the fabric into a large main section and a narrow strip for sewing the waistband and belt loops.

Główna część została na dole i po bokach podłożona a na dolnych rogach został zastosowany szew kopertowy.

U góry zaszewki , mnóstwo ich.

The main piece is hemmed at the bottom and sides, and a mitered corners are used at the bottom.

There are darts at the top, lots of them.

Na jednym boku zostały wykonane dziurki a na drugim naszyte guziki.

Zastosowałem drobne (15 mm) brązowe guziki z portugalskich koszul w kamuflażu. Mam tego cały słoik i nie wiedziałem co z nimi zrobić. Tutaj pasowały idealnie.

Następnie przygotowanie szlufek i szycie pasa.

I gotowe.

Buttonholes were made on one side and buttons were sewn on the other.

I used small (15mm) brown buttons from Portuguese camouflage shirts. I had a whole jar of it and didn't know what to do with them. They fit perfectly here.

Next, I prepared the belt loops and sewed the belt.

And it's ready.

Nosicielka jest zadowolona  , jest dobrze.

Chociaż już widzę że pierwszy guzik poniżej lini pasa powinien być wyżej (?).

The wearer is happy, it's fine.

Although I can already see that the first button below the waistline should be higher (?).

Oczywiście co by nie było za łatwo to na ostatnie prostej automatyczne obszywanie dziurek strzeliło TAKIEGO focha i trochę trwało zanim opanowałem całość.

Na zdjęciu efekty chwilowych zakłóceń. Jak widać igłę można pięknie wygiąć nie tylko przy grubych tkaninach czy wielu warstwach.

Przy cieniutkim materiale to też wykonalne :)

Of course, to make things a bit more complicated, the automatic buttonhole sewing system went haywire on the final stage, and it took me a while to get it working again.

The photo shows the effects of the momentary disruption. As you can see, the needle can be bent beautifully, not only with thick fabrics or multiple layers.

It's also doable with thin fabrics :)

Uzupełnienie. 

Jako dodatek powstała prawie identyczna spódnica z cienkiego ciemnozielonego płótna.
