A kto szyje z ostatków ?

Mam nadzieję że wtedy też to działa w ten sposób. Bo sporo tego szycia było.

Torba uszyta z mnóstwa resztek w myśl filozofii NATO spotyka Układ Warszawski. Powstawały już torby wg. tego pomysłu , np. TUTAJ albo TUTAJ.

Najpierw przerzucanie najróżniejszych resztek i dużo planowania. Na tym etapie było co najmniej pięć czy sześć dość mocno różniących się od siebie koncepcji.

I hope it works this way too. Because there was a lot of it.

A bag sewn from a lot of leftovers in accordance with the philosophy - NATO meets the Warsaw Pact. Bags based on this idea have already been created, e.g. HERE  or HERE.

First, throwing around various leftovers and a lot of planning. At this stage, there were at least five or six quite different concepts.

Starałem się wykorzystać jak najwięcej "wiekowych" i oryginalnych wojskowych materiałów.

Jedyne współczesne i cywilne elementy to skórzane wstawki na dole torby , zamek błyskawiczny w wewnętrznej kieszeni i nici.

Przeważnie używane były nici Ariadna Tytan 60E i gdzieniegdzie ARTYN 80E. Skórzane wzmocnienia na dole przeszyłem nićmi TALIA 30 - pasowały mi kolorem i gramaturą. Swoją drogą to najstarsze nici w moim zapasie. Kupione zaraz po zakupie maszyny , używam ich naprawdę rzadko.

Przydały się igły 110 i stopka z rolką (przy szyciu skórzanego wzmocnienia).

Gdzieniegdzie doszło do szycia ręcznego - gruba igła + kombinerki pomagające się przebić przez kilka warstw tkanin.

I tak to wygląda po skończeniu.

I tried to use as many vintage and original military materials as possible.

The only modern and civilian elements are the leather reinforcements at the bottom of the bag, the zipper in the inside pocket and the threads.

Mostly Ariadna Tytan 60E threads were used, and here and there ARTYN 80E. I sewed the leather reinforcements at the bottom with TALIA 30 threads - they matched color and weight. By the way, these are the oldest threads in my stash. I bought them right after buying the machine, I use them really rarely.

110 needles and a roller foot came in handy (when sewing leather reinforcement).

Here and there, hand sewing was used - a thick needle + pliers to help get through several layers of fabric.

This is what the bag looks like once it's finished.

Główny udział mają tutaj resztki dwóch wojskowych pałatek. Francuskiej w kamuflażu "Lizard" z połowy lat 50-ych i zachodnio-niemieckiej w dwustronnym kamuflażu "Ameba" z (jeśli dobrze pamiętam) roku 1956 lub 1957. 

Resztki były zbyt małe aby uszyć z nich coś większego (kurtka etc.) ale zbyt duże aby tak po prostu wyrzucić.

Tak sobie czekały na swój los gdzieś w pudle kartonowym na szafie aż stały się surowcem do tego patchworku.

Od środka wykorzystane zostały pozostałości po torbie na maskę p. gazową z Ludowego Wojska Polskiego (1971).

Dodatki to lamówka z belgijskich spodni z lat 50-ych , dwie kieszenie z zachodnio-niemieckiej bluzy "Moleskin" (1972) , metalowe elementy i pas naramienny z torby na maskę p. gazową z LWP z lat 50-ych.

Lubię szyć z takich staroci :)

The main part here is the remains of two military shelter-half's. 

A French one in the "Lizard" camouflage from the mid-1950s and a West German one in the double-sided "Amoeba" camouflage from (if I remember correctly) 1956 or 1957.

The remains were too small to sew something bigger (a jacket, etc.) but too big to just throw away.

They were waiting for their fate somewhere in a cardboard box on the wardrobe until they became the raw material for this patchwork.

The inside was made from the remains of a gas mask bag from the Polish People's Army (1971).

The accessories are piping from Belgian trousers from the 50s, two pockets from a West German "Moleskin" blouse (1972), metal elements and a shoulder strap from a gas mask bag from the Polish People's Army from the 50s.

I like sewing from such old things :)

Nie jest to klasyczna piękność ale nie taki był cel.

Estetyka szwów taka... surowa , vintage , retro etc.  Przynajmniej tak to sobie teraz tłumaczę ;)

Mogłem dorzucić zewnętrzną kieszeń z tyłu torby oraz coś tam mniejszego z przodu ale do takich kieszeni najbardziej pasowałoby mi zamykanie napą 15mm w kolorze stara miedź.

I tu przykra niespodzianka - zakupione napy (jakieś najtańsze "no name") okazały się nie do końca dobrze współpracować z nabijakiem który mi pozostał z opakowania nap firmy PRYM.

Niby pasowały , niby się mocowały ale krawędzie mocno odstawały i całość siedziała jakoś tak luźno :/

Cóż , nauczka na przyszłość , na szczęście kosztowały niewiele.

A torba dostała tylko wewnętrzne kieszenie. Tyz piknie.

It's not a classic beauty, but that wasn't the goal. 

The aesthetics of the seams are... raw, vintage, retro, etc. 

At least that's how I explain it to myself now ;)

I could have added an external pocket on the back of the bag and something smaller on the front, but for such pockets I would have liked the closure with a 15mm snap in the "old copper" color.

And here's an unpleasant surprise - the snaps I bought (some of the cheapest "no name") turned out not to work well with the punch that I had left from the PRYM snap package.

They seemed to fit, they seemed to be fastened, but the edges stuck out a lot and the whole thing sat loosely :/

Well, a lesson for the future, fortunately they didn't cost much.

And the bag only got inside pockets. It suits me.

Przerabiam torbę listonoszkę Eastpak na włoskie "moro" / Remaking of Eastpak bag in Italian M29 Telo Mimetico camo

Uwielbiam przerabiać torby "Eastpak". Zwykle są dobrym źródłem zamków błyskawicznych , klamer , pasków , lamówek etc. I kosztują grosze po ciucholandach.

Napisałem zwykle bo czasami trafiają się egzemplarze wykonane z materiałów tak jakby gorszej jakości (?) ale zazwyczaj warto.

Temat zajęć - robię torbę zasadniczo taką samą (jeśli chodzi o ogólne wymiary) ale podstawowa tkanina zostaje wymieniona na olejowaną bawełnę w włoskim kamuflażu M29 Telo Mimetico (w powojennej wersji). Torba zostanie też wzbogacona o kilka mniejszych kieszeni.

Z oryginału postaram się wykorzystać wszystko poza tym niebieskim poliestrem.

I love altering "Eastpak" bags. They are usually a good source of zippers, buckles, straps, piping, etc. And they cost pennies at thrift stores.

I wrote usually because sometimes I come across items made of materials that are of somewhat lower quality (?) but usually it's worth it.

Theme of the class - I'm making a bag basically the same (in terms of overall dimensions) but the basic fabric is replaced with oiled cotton in Italian M29 Telo Mimetico camouflage (in a post-war version). The bag will also be enriched with a few smaller pockets.

I'll try to use everything from the original except for the blue polyester.

Najpierw obowiązkowo kąpiel w ciepłej wodzie z płynem do prania bo fanty zwykle mają taki charakterystyczny ciucholandowy aromat.

Prucie i rozkładanie na części to jakieś kilkadziesiąt minut do dwóch godzin i mamy zestaw elementów do szycia.

Zacząłem od pasa naramiennego.

First a bath. It's a must because bags usually have that characteristic thrift store smell.

Taking apart takes about a few dozen minutes to two hours and we have a set of elements to sew.

I started with the shoulder strap.

Już przy szyciu pasa szybko się zorientowałem że igła typu "Jeans" będzie dużo lepsza niż zwykła.

Zastosowałem mocniejsze nici zielone i czarne Ariadna Tytan 60E.

Następnie czas na szycie klapy. Części wykrojone wg. starych ale w klapie została zrobiona kieszeń zapinana na zamek błyskawiczny.

Already when sewing the belt I quickly realized that a "Jeans" needle would be much better than a regular one.

I used stronger green and black threads Ariadna Tytan 60E.

Next it was time to sew the flap. The parts were cut according to the old ones, but a pocket was made in the flap with a zipper.

Następnie korpus torby , dużo drobniejszej pracy , szycie wewnętrznych kieszeni. To taki etap na którym postępy są słabo widoczne , jest dużo rozgrzebanej pracy.

Do wewnętrznej strony torby wykorzystałem czarny poliestr z oryginału oraz z jakiegoś dużego wora na szpej. Pojawił się też pomysł kieszeni siatkowej.

I wreszcie poszczególne elementy są gotowe do montażu.

Then the body of the bag, a lot of smaller work, sewing the inside pockets. This is the stage where progress is barely visible, there is a lot of work to be done.

For the inside of the bag I used black polyester from the original and from some large gear bag. The idea of ​​a mesh pocket also appeared.

And finally the individual elements are ready for assembly.

Szycie postępuje. Jest więcej warstw do przeszycia i maszyna trochę już hałasuje.

Na sam koniec kilka razy jakieś drobne elementy i... ręczne szycie. Nie ma lekko :(

A propos drobnych elementów - sznurek przy zamku błyskawicznym wewnętrznej kieszeni oraz guzik zamykający wewnętrzną kieszeń siatkową pochodzą z oryginalnego zestawu do szycia włoskiej armii. 

Takie małe detale pasujące do ogólnego stylu torby :)

Sewing is progressing. There are more layers to sew and the machine is making some noise.

At the very end, a few small elements and... hand sewing.  

Speaking of small elements - the string at the zipper of the inner pocket and the button closing the inner mesh pocket come from the original sewing kit of the Italian army.

Such small details that match the general style of the bag :)

I will say immodestly - I like it :)

Chociaż estetyka części szwów nie powala na kolana (zwłaszcza tych z końcówki szycia kiedy było już więcej warstw) to ogólny efekt jest super.

Są i złe wieści - właśnie zużyłem ostatni duży kawałek tej bardzo fajnej tkaniny. Zostało już tylko kilka mniejszych ścinków. I tyle. Koniec :(

Although the aesthetics of some of the seams are not impressive (especially those at the end of sewing when there were more layers) the overall effect is nice.

There is also bad news - I just used up the last large piece of this very nice fabric. There are only a few smaller scraps left. And that's it. The end :(

Nowy Rok 2025 / New Year 2025

Wszystkim czytelnikom bloga wszystkiego najlepszego w roku 2025.

Zdrowia , bezpieczeństwa , odrobiny szczęścia i wtedy o resztę człowiek sam zadba :)

A w wersji absolutne minimum wystarczy aby ten 2025 tylko nie był gorszy.

I tak na przekór nadchodzącym ciężkim czasom - budyniowiec w wersji FULL WYPAS.

Trzy warstwy kruchego ciasta + trzy warstwy budyniu czekoladowego a w każdej warstwie budyniu rodzynki , trochę mniej żurawiny , pokrojony w plasterki dojrzały banan , tu i ówdzie migdały. W środkowej warstwie budyniu zaplątały się ostatnie suszone morele.

Dobry... był :)

Three layers of shortcrust pastry + three layers of chocolate pudding and in each layer - raisins, a little less cranberries, sliced ​​ripe banana, here and there almonds. In the middle layer of pudding the last dried apricots got tangled.
