No to przerabiam bluzę na kamizelkę , taką z kilkoma kieszeniami używaną zwykle przez reporterów spisujących ta wielką historię.
Ale... Założenie jest takie że używam tylko materiałów z epoki.
Na początek pozyskuję trochę tkaniny (rękawy) oraz usuwam zbędne elementy (kołnierz , pagony).

I am converting this shirt into a vest, the kind with several pockets that reporters usually use.
But... The assumption is that I'm only using period materials.
At the beginning, I obtain some fabric (sleeves) and remove unnecessary elements (collar, epaulets).
Na początek szyję obszar wokół karku + nowa listwa z dziurkami na guziki (ich rozkład będzie ciut inny niż w koszuli).
Używane nici to Ariadna Talia 80E , kolor nr. 0758.

At the beginning I sew the area around the neck + a new front strip with buttonholes (their distribution will be a bit different than in the shirt).
The threads used are Ariadna Talia 80E, color no. 0758.
Następnie poszerzam otwory po rękawach i obszywam je lamówką zrobioną z tkaniny koszuli.

Then I widen the holes on the sleeves and trim them with a hem made of the fabric of the shirt.
No i teraz trzeba ostatecznie zdecydować jaka będzie długość kamizelki.

And now I have to finally decide what length of the vest will be.
Następnie sporo zabawy z dolnymi kieszeniami "cargo". Długo nie mogłem się zdecydować jak mają wyglądać.
W końcu będzie jedna mniejsza (z patką z belgijskich spodni w kamuflażu) + jedna duża zapinana na trzy guziki.
Plus wewnętrzna z resztek francuskiej pałatki (rok produkcji ten sam).
Nawiasem mówiąc fajne guziki , z bakelitu (?)

Then a lot of fun with the bottom cargo pockets. For a long time I could not decide what they should look like.
In the end, there will be one smaller (with a flap made of Belgian camouflage pants) + one large fastened with three buttons.
Plus the inner one made of the remnants of a French camo shelter half (same year of production).

Jeszcze kilka małych detali + najważniejsze czyli METKA z datą produkcji.
Nie wiedzieć kiedy do produktu reprezentującego generalnie zgniły kapitalistyczny zachód zakradł się mały element prosto z Układu Warszawskiego czyli metalowy D-ring pochodzący z torby na maskę gazową OM-14 z LWP (wczesne lata 50 czyli pasuje jak najbardziej).

A few more small details + the most important, i.e. the LABEL with the production date.
For a product that generally represents a rotten capitalist west, crept into a small element straight out of the Warsaw Pact - the metal D-ring from the OM14 gas mask bag (Polish People's Army - early 50's so it's fits the design).
I tak to ostatecznie wygląda po skończeniu.

Zasadniczo nie było tu nic trudnego poza ustaleniem właściwej kolejności szycia niektórych elementów.
No i zapomniałem o podłużnych kieszonkach na ołówek/długopis etc.

Basically, there was nothing difficult here except figuring out the correct sequence for sewing certain elements.
And I forgot about the oblong pockets for a pencil / pen etc.
