Łucznik 466 - Szyje / Archer 466 - It's Alive !

No i uparłem się.

Kosztowało mnie to w sumie niewiele - trochę czasu , dwie ściereczki do wyrzucenia , trochę oliwy technicznej i kilka dodatkowych dziur w okleinie biurka na którym odbywała się operacja czyszczenia maszyny.

Maszyna najpierw została dokładnie odkurzona i powycierana z wszystkich brudów. Usunięte zostały wszystkie kłaczki zalegające gdzieś tam w zakamarkach maszyny etc. 

Mimo że z zewnątrz wyglądała świetnie , czysto etc. to okazało się że w środku zgromadziło sie trochę tego i owego.

Dałem sobie spokój z delikatnym podawaniem kropelek oliwy technicznej przez przeznaczone do tego dziurki w obudowie.

Odkręciłem obudowę z góry i oliwiłem dość szczodrze tam gdzie mi się wydawało że trzeba bo ruchome mechanizmy etc.

Nie twierdzę że to dobra metoda ale tutaj zadziałało.

To samo zostało powtórzone od spodu.

Generalnie zużyłem trochę oliwy. Nawet miałem obawy czy nie za dużo.

Następnie maszyna popracowała sobie bez założonych nici i bębenka etc. Metrowy kawałek grubszego płótna złożony na dwie warstwy został "przeszyty" w te i z powrotem równomiernym powolnym tempem. Tak z 6 czy 7 razy.

Jakieś ostatnie poprawki , nowa igła i próba szycia.

Śmiga aż miło popatrzeć :) :) :)

Jako że od około tygodnia lamówka przy wykładzinie podłogowej straszyła odklejeniem się to naprawa tego była pierwsza robótką na świeżo "ożywionej" maszynie.

NO PROBLEMO - przeszyła bez najmniejszego zająknięcia czy czkawki :)

Oby ten stan trwał jak najdłużej.

And so I finished it.

It didn't cost me much at all - some time, two cloths to throw away, some technical oil and a few additional holes in the veneer of the desk where the machine was being cleaned.

First, sewing machine was thoroughly vacuumed and wiped clean of all dirt. All lint lying somewhere in the nooks and crannies of the machine has been removed.

Even though it looked great from the outside, clean, etc. It turned out that a bit of this and that had accumulated inside.

I gave up on gently feeding drops of technical oil through the holes intended for this purpose in the housing.

I unscrewed the housing from the top and oiled it quite generously where I thought it was needed because of moving mechanisms etc.

I'm not saying this is a good method, but it worked here.

The same thing was repeated from the bottom.

Overall, I used quite a bit of olive oil. I even had concerns about whether it would be too much.

Then the machine worked without any threads, bobbin case, etc. A one-meter piece of thicker canvas, folded into two layers, was "stitched" back and forth at an even, slow pace. About 6 or 7 times.

Some final corrections, a new needle and a sewing attempt.

It works in such a way that it's nice to look at it :) :) :)

As the trim on the floor rug had been threatening to come off for about a week, repairing it was the first job on a freshly "revived" machine.

NO PROBLEMO - it went through without the slightest stutter or hiccup :)

May this state last as long as possible.
