Część druga przygody z litewskim camo/moro.

Tym razem kurtka w typie "smock". Stały kaptur , cztery frontowe kieszenie + jedna na rękawie.

Zapinana na frontowy zamek błyskawiczny i listwę z guzikami.

Czyli coś co pojawiało się tutaj już kilka razy w różnych barwach.

Wszystkie dodatki nowe (no prawie wszystkie) , zakupiłem je w baribalpoland.pl - rzep , taśma suwakowa YKK z maszynkami , gumo sznurek , stopery , końcówki tzw. "cord end" wszystko pięknie zielone , pod kolor.

Frontowy zamek błyskawiczny kostkowy , rozdzielczy , dwusuwakowy rozmiar 5 , długość 75 cm , Alpha z pasmanterii "U Czeremchy".

Part two of my adventure with Lithuanian camo.

This time, a smock jacket. It features a fixed hood, four front pockets and one on the sleeve.

Fastened with a front zipper and a button placket.

Something that has already appeared here several times in different colors.

All accessories are new (well, almost all), I bought them at baribalpoland.pl - Velcro, YKK zipper tape with clips, elastic cord, stoppers, so-called "cord ends", all beautifully green, matching the color.

Front zipper, dividing, two-slider, size 5, length 75 cm, Alpha from the "U Czeremchy" haberdashery.

Zacząłem od kaptura. Bo w sumie czemu by nie.

I started from the hood. Because why not ?

I od razu na początku jedna z tych chwil które przerabiał pewnie każdy szyjący/szyjąca.

Skończyliśmy jakiś ważny szew , przyglądamy się i myślimy "O kurczę ale fajnie , równo wyszło. Dobry jestem"

Później odwracamy na drugą stronę i ZONK! Od spodu coś się podwinęło i przeszyło nie tam gdzie trzeba :( :( :( 

Ale ponieważ szew z wierzchu wyszedł bardzo estetycznie postanowiłem nie pruć tego tylko wyciąłem po bokach ile się da.

And right at the beginning, one of those moments that every sewing person has probably experienced.

We finished a crucial seam, looked at it, and thought, "Oh my, that's great! It turned out evenly. I'm good at it."

Then we turned it over and, BOOM! Something had rolled up on the bottom and sewn in the wrong place :( :( :(

But since the top seam turned out so neatly, I decided not to undo it and just trimmed as much as I could on the sides.

Konstrukcja korpusu i kieszenie. Wolniejsza maszyna sprawiała że łatwiej było szyć ładnie zaokrąglone patki do kieszeni.

Body construction and pockets. The slower machine made it easier to sew nicely rounded pocket flaps.

Jako że skończyły mi się guziki kanadyjskie z brytyjskiego demobilu (co za zaskoczenie , a wystarczyło je przeliczyć przed startem...) zakupiłem w trybie awaryjnym guziki z "Orkan Tactical".

Guziki fajne , jak najbardziej ale... Kolor "NATO Green" okazał się być taki bardziej jasno szaro-zielony. Podczas gdy guziki z brytyjskiego demobilu (koszula lightweight w leśnym DPM) są takie bardziej ciemno-zielone. Gdyby kogoś to interesowało oczywiście.

Tak czy owak wyglądają fajnie.

As I had run out of Canadian buttons from British surplus (what a surprise, and all I had to do was count them before the start...), I bought some buttons from "Orkan Tactical" as an emergency measure.

The buttons are nice, but... The "NATO Green" color turned out to be more of a light gray-green. While the British surplus buttons (a lightweight shirt in DPM woodland) are more of a dark green. If anyone was interested in this knowledge, of course.

Either way, they look cool.

A skoro tak to tym razem całość montowałem metodą na krzyż (chyba że jest jakaś inna fachowa nazwa - chętnie poznam).

Najpierw wszyłem rękawy a następnie całość składamy na pół i zszywamy.

Powolutku i dokładnie , z uwagą. To jeden z tych momentów gdzie przydały się szpilki.

This time, I assembled the whole thing using the cross-fold method (unless there's correct technical term - I'd love to know).

First, I sewed in the sleeves, then folded the whole thing in half and sewed it together.

Slowly and carefully, with care. This is one of those moments where the pins came in handy.

Lata mijały. Rodziły się i umierały kolejne pokolenia. Wybuchały i kończyły się wojny. Upadały cywilizacje - a ja szyłem i szyłem i szyłem. I szyłem.

I szyłem.

I w końcu skończyłem.

Years passed. Generations were born and died. Wars erupted and ended. Civilizations were falling - and I sewed and sewed and sewed. And sewed.

And sewed.

And finally, I finished.

Cóż z pewnością była to jedna z moich dłuższych realizacji.

Choć zaznaczam że nie najdłuższa. Bywało gorzej :)

Ilość tkaniny jaką zużyłem na bluzę w rozmiarze duże L to około 365 cm (przy szerokości 150 cm).

Jako że Singer 4423 miał awarię przesiadłem się na starego łucznika 466 i koniec końców jakieś 75% szycia było robione właśnie na nim.

I było zaskakująco sympatycznie. Oczywiście używałem mojego Łucznika wcześniej ale nie w tak szerokim zakresie.

Wolniejsze tempo szycia i mniejsza ilość decybeli robiły swoje.

Uwaga - planowanie skomplikowanego (dużo drobnych detali etc.) szycia w okresie świątecznym / świąteczno-noworocznym to śliska sprawa :) Jeśli naprawdę musicie to pewnie że się da ale... Jest wtedy dużo rozpraszaczy dookoła.

Well, it was definitely one of my longer projects.

Although I would like to point out that it is not the longest. I've had worse :)

The amount of fabric I used for a jacket in size large was about 365 cm (with a width of 150 cm).

Since my Singer 4423 had a minor malfunction, I switched to my old "Archer" 466, and in the end, about 75% of the sewing was done on it.

And it was surprisingly pleasant. Of course, I'd used my "Archer" before, but not so extensively.

The slower sewing speed and lower decibels made a difference.

Warning - planning complex (lots of small details, etc.) sewing during the holiday/Christmas-New Year period is tricky :) 

If you really have to, it's definitely doable, but... There are a lot of distractions around then.
